The holidays are fast approaching.  Pretty soon the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be here with a return to some semblance of normalcy – a welcome return to the hustle and bustle of the frenetic holiday season after the last 20 months of weirdness we’ve experienced here in NYC.

The parade always ends with Santa Claus and his sleigh coming down the Avenue to mark the official start of the holiday shopping season.  Of course, from the day after (sometimes even the days before) Halloween ended, the Christmas carols and holiday shopping advertisements and have been appearing in shop windows, on TV, and on the sound systems of stores throughout the city.

While thinking of all the ways NYC is returning to normal, let’s protect ourselves to have a safe and fun holiday season.
